ABOUT THE NAME
In the dozen years before and after prohibition, Akron’s Renner Brewing Company produced one of the city’s most-beloved beers – the “Grossvater” (Grandfather). Our take on this classic beer keeps the tradition of the Grandfather alive, but we left the “gross water” pronunciation in the past.
